After 16 years of providing massage in a number of different arenas ranging from physical therapy practices, top rated hospitals, and award winning spas, Shannon finds combining her love of Pilates and massage therapy most rewarding. She strives to surround herself with the best of the best, teaching Pilates at Pilates Aligned and managing her own massage practice, Total Body Wellness with an awesome team of therapists in Denver, Colorado.
She earned her associates degree from the Colorado School of Healing Arts, specializing in Sports Massage, Neuromuscular Massage and Cranio-Sacral Therapy. She is also trained in Ashiatsu, Ashithai, and Prenatal Massage. Her passion for movement and fascination with the body continued and she completed Pilates training from The Pilates Center of Boulder in 2007.
Shannon regularly attends workshops and seminars to satisfy her passion for the work and to stay current with the latest trends in her field. She enjoys providing her clients with the most up to date treatments to help them reach their health goals. Shannon believes movement and bodywork are vital. She offers fun, encouragement, and versatility that keeps you coming back. There is no better way to improve your health and happiness and she is excited to help you get your body back to feeling great!
When Shannon isn't in the studio you can find her playing out doors with her husband and daughter, biking, hiking or just relaxing. She loves to soak up the beauty of Colorado, listen to great music and enjoy the day to day.
Laura is a licensed massage therapist and has a strong background in using therapeutic massage to help clients find comfort in their own bodies. A graduate of The Colorado School of Healing Arts, Laura completed the 700 hour program in 2008, and continued her education there by obtaining an Associates Degree specializing in the areas of Sports, Cranio-Sacral, Lymphatic Drainage and Pre-natal massage modalities. Laura’s hands on work and continued education has created a bodywork philosophy that focuses on the whole person. She believes that by addressing all areas of our lives we can find balance and reduce tension and stress.
Tammy has been assisting in pain relief & encouraging her client’s bodies to tap into their natural ability to heal through massage since 2000. While in school for massage, she was involved in a car accident that set her on a path of injury recovery and pain relief focus within her work. Also using massage as a tool in a bigger sense of improving her client’s life condition. Tammy utilizing multiple modalities to achieve her client’s goal for each session. She combines myofascial release, trigger point therapy, neuromuscular therapy, soft tissue relaxation and deep tissue techniques to create a unique massage experience each time.
Outside of massaging, Tammy also has a passion for making healthy, energy creating foods, music, exploring the mountains through hiking and snowshoeing, and volunteerism through Friends of Red Rocks. She is a budding nature photographer and avid yogini. She also is active in her local Buddhist organization, with the intention of creating change in the world through individual efforts.
She believes strongly in the organic and local food movements, GMO labeling, anti-fracking and being a steward to our beautiful planet.
